Biography
Afton came to DBEC after working as a research technologist in an orthopedic surgery research lab at the Mayo Clinic. Prior to that she attended Montana State University and earned a degree in Chemical Engineering (B.S., 2017). Afton is currently studying porous materials, specifically porous ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, via the New Hampshire BioMade (EPSCoR) grant and helping with implant retrievals. In her free time, Afton enjoys skiing, hiking and mountain biking.
